For any questions regarding the match play, contact the commissioner (Jon Chiu).

Bracket

Registration

  • Send $50 via venmo to @jonchiu or cash to a board member in person.
  • Deadline to enter is May 3rd (registration and payment must be submitted).

Format

  • Net match play (100% handicap)
  • Single elimination bracket (32 players maximum)
  • In the event of an uneven number of players, lower seed players will be given a bye.
  • Seeding determined by commissioner using the 2023 Match Play results and 2023 Dragon Cup results and announced via email and posted on this page.

Rules

  • Lower seed determines course for the match.
  • Tee selection is determined by each competitor.
  • Playing handicap can be calculated using the NCGA app. This should take into account tee selection and men and women slope/ratings.
  • Tie breakers are ordinarily done by playing extra holes. If that is not possible, we look at the #1 handicap hole based off the player getting strokes. If there is a tie, look at hole #2, and so on.

Logistics

  • Matches must be completed in a timely fashion. If you are not able to agree on a match date, please contact the commissioner (Jon Chiu).
